Accutane Description
Accutane (isotretinoin) is a popular and efficacious acne medication (which happens to be an isomer of Vitamin A) that is used to combat androgen-induced skin-related side effects. This ancillary medication is commonly taken in conjunction with anabolic androgenic steroids to counter the acne that some users can experience. With side effects of this nature, the degree of the acne is dependent mainly on genetics, some users may not experience any such side effects, where those with a genetic predisposition can experience increased acne while using certain steroids such as Testosterone, Deca, Tren, EQ, etc. This medication is highly effective in treating acne, and due to some possible adverse side effects (such as long-term dry skin), should be used as a last resort after having explored less aggressive treatment options.
Accutane is typically prescribed for a period of 15-20 weeks, and it is important to take the medication as directed by your healthcare provider. While taking this product, it is important to avoid excessive sun exposure and to use appropriate sunscreen and protective clothing. Some individuals may experience side effects while taking Accutane. These include dry skin, chapped lips, and dry eyes. These side effects are generally mild and can be managed with appropriate moisturizers and eye drops.
